Pick of the Week is a Halloween Artist Reception at G2 Gallery, this Saturday!!!

What can I say? For Halloween week, my Pick of the Week HAS to be a mix of Art and Halloween!

Creep into The G2 Gallery for their Halloween artist reception. Be sure to wear your favorite costume.


Meet Spider Lady Miriam Schulman (Arachnophilia,) Icy Ira Meyer (Poetry of Ice,) and Mistress of the Photogram Christine Caldwell (Nature LA) at this fun-filled, Halloween-themed artist reception.

What a perfect exhibit, SPIDERS to be featured on this scary night! There will be special treats and Margaritas, wine, and beer. Don’t’ forget to RSVP!

Wednesday, October 26th

At 18th Street Arts in honor of Pacific Standard Time, Collaboration Labs (EZTV) hosts a five-week series of video screenings, live music, performances and artist talks. Co-founder and Director Michael J. Masucci produces the event featuring "Art as Acheology" as tonight’s premiere showing.


CORE is a multimedia performance by Kate Johnson with S. Pearle Sharp and Ken Luey, PhD. This event runs from 8:00 pm till 9:30 pm and will feature music, animation, video and spoken word to tell the story of memory, haunted tongues and disappearing histories, personal and cultural. Thursday, October 27th



Digital LA hosts a Halloween bash at Tru nightclub in Hollywood! Come in costumes so you can enter the Costume Competition.

In Culver City, Mihai Nicodim Gallery is having an opening reception for artists, Miklos Onucsan and Serban Savu.

Then right next door, David Kordansky Gallery presents Cornfabulation, a collaborative exhibition by Aaron Curry and Richard Hawkins. Though both artists are originally from Texas, and Curry was Hawkins' student at Art Center College of Design in the early 2000s, the exhibition goes far beyond notions of camaraderie or shared influence.

Though I don't get the whole wax museum thing....this would be the night to do it. Celebrate Halloween with some dead celebrities at Madame Tussauds from 10:00 pm till 2:00 am! Tonight's event boasts of two floors of maze-like atmosphere with hundreds of celebrity wax figures and you don't have to fight them to the bar...Yeah!
